Saw farewell column from Gwen Knapp in SF Chronicle in which she said she was going to work for Sports on Earth, the USAT/MLBAM venture that lured Joe Poz from his former dream job at SI. Will launch around Labor Day, according to Gwen's farewell. Aside from Poz, I hadn't heard of any other staffing at SOE. Very quiet for such an immodest venture. Anyone else heard anything?

Editorially: Tommy Tomlinson, formerly of the Charlotte Observer: http://ttomlinson.blogspot.com/2012/04/well-i-have-announcement.html

Obviously, Dave Morgan, formerly of Yahoo, is now leading the way on the USAT side of things.

On the business end: Tom Beusse, formerly of SI; and Peter Lazarus, formerly of NBC/Univision.

That's six pretty good gets right there.
