    Vegans are fine. Vegans who take offense to anyone who eats anything that isn't vegan... Not fine...

    Bingo. I have been a vegetarian for 18 years or so.

    I don't like watching people eat meat or fish or poultry. I want no part of it myself. But I live my own life, no one else's. My friends know how I feel. I don't push them beyond that and I certainly don't do it constantly -- or all that much. I don't proselytize strangers. Ever. I am not an evangelist trying to change a world that clearly doesn't see things the way I do.

    I feel strongly about it. But if anyone has a problem with me because of it, it is their problem with me as a vegetarian, not a result of anything I've ever done to them.

    I have actually gone vegan unofficially for periods of time. Longest was for about two years. So no dairy or eggs, either.

    Now I eat yogurt occasionally and will occasionally have something with egg in it. I'll sometimes do a cappucino with the frothed milk, but otherwise prefer my coffee black.

    Sure you don't hate me?
