If NH were to go it alone, it would just be another reason for property taxes to go up yet again.

The last time the C.B.O. weighed in on the matter, it reported that repeal of the A.C.A. would cost the government almost three hundred billion dollars.

Maybe Texas and N.H. could merge into one country. I'd live in Texas nine months out of the year and N.H. the rest. The motto would be "Live free or die ... at my hands."

Who you gonna trust, cran -- the libruhl CBO, or someone like Paul Ryan who has only your best non-partisan interests at heart?

If you're trying to avoid paying for someone else's Viagra, or maternity care, or God forbid birth control, then I'm afraid there's not an insurance plan in the world that's going to help you. Insurance doesn't work that way.

And you cannot realistically comparison shop doctors. You just can't. And you never will be able to. Because there's no interest for any of the stakeholders in that business to do that. The only way that would happen is if the big, bad government mandated it. (Not to mention: Are you really, REALLY, going to want to go to the cheapest doctor out there? You're not buying soda or a used Toyota.

You can no more have the scenario you describe than you can have a unicorn horn on your fireplace.

So, how's it play in the '12 Presidential election?

On the plus side for Republicans:

-- Get to fund raise against it

-- The ruling to it will probably fire up those who oppose the law more than it will people who support it

-- Republicans are under less pressure to offer an "alternative"

Obviously, the President gets to run on its passage. (And, it's sort of funny, because, until know, he hadn't much been mentioning it on the trail.) But, since most of the benefits haven't kicked in, I'm not sure people fully appreciate it yet.

    What do you have?

Some are wondering if Roberts didn't change his vote based on some evidence released by SCOTUS.

However you feel about the ruling today, I think we can agree that Mike Pence, putting the goober in gubernatorial candidate, wins the prize for most incredibly inappropriate reaction.

U.S. Rep. Mike Pence is apologizing for comparing today’s Supreme Court decision on the federal health care reforms to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Claims of Roberts' family being threatened unless he upheld the mandate are being thrown about by morons.

That's a terrible analogy. Only 3,000 or so people died on 9/11. There's no telling how many millions the death panels will kill.

Would not be a surprise if true.
