For years Clinton had been a poster child for unhealthy living. He worked 200-hour weeks and subsisted off of junk food. He was the kind of jogger who would make pit stops at McDonald's. But then he had quadruple-bypass surgery in 2004, which saved him from a heart attack, and then seven months later he had another procedure to fix a partially collapsed lung.

To be fair, he was salaried, so he had to eat those 160 hours.

As a former Gannett employee, I can confirm this is standard procedure unless someone else is on furlough, when you're expected to work an extra 25 hours.

How soon we forget that Clinton moonlighted simultaneously at four other 40-hour jobs. Besides serving as president, I remember distinctly how he worked in customer service at Target, at a call center for MCI, pulled the overnight shift for D.C.'s classic rock station and stocked groceries at A&P.

All the better to meet chicks, he said.
