God save this thread from astonishingly asinine little babies.

Is that the walk to Paterno's house?

Look, I have no issue with Pierce or any of our other ESPN employees or former employees ,who rush to defend every headline they write.

But Pierce, and others (trying not to make it personal), hate every big corporate institution. Except one.

Pierce talks about protecting the "brand".

Is there a company in America more obsessed with their own brand than ESPN?

Are we supposed to ignore this?

Now that you put it that way, column does seem a bit hollow given that Grantland is an ESPN owned site.

No - it's 21 and I, where the flame always burns hot even after all these years.

In California, I'm pretty confident that if you report a child rape by someone in your workplace and for some reason you get fired, even if you are not a union worker, a jury is going to find that the reason they gave is merely a pretext for getting fired for whistleblowing (which is protected in CA).

I'll take that to the jury 7 days a week (and likewise tell my client to not fire that person for at least a year or so).

Another message board I frequent said something about an upcoming Bob Costas interview with Sandusky ... any truth to this?

Rather see Sandusky on The Daily Show.

    It's all over Twitter.

BREAKING: "I'm innocent of these charges" Jerry Sandusky tells Bob Costas in exclusive interview airing tonight 10p via @RockCenterNBC

    Sandusky says he's innocent.

    http://rockcenter.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/11/14/8804779-jerry-sandusky-to-bob-costas-in-exclusive-rock-center-interview-i-shouldnt-have-showered-with-those-kids

Well, sort of. Admits he showered with kids, but isn't a pedophile.

It would have been a hell of a thing if he'd been completely innocent of this. Although the two eyewitnesses to the shower antics didn't help that idea.

I do see, eventually, some McMartin-style false accusations coming against coaches at some school down the line.

    But this case? Probably not.

I'm shocked his attorneys are letting him do this, but then again, what does he have to lose?

Something to lose by Sandusky going on the air: EVERYONE else at Penn State.

Costas has an unbelievable opportunity here.
