The ideal candidate will capture the spirit of the game, providing exceptional reporting and photography of prep sports for our seven area schools. The position requires a strong ability to juggle multiple assignments and collaborate smoothly with an established co-sports editor to produce a snappy sports section daily. Page design abilities and experience with multimedia, social media and InDesign are a definite plus.     My guess is a two person sports department in which both people are equals and both are co-editors.

    My guess is the bean counters call it "co-sports editor" to make it a salaried position and absolve the company from paying overtime to either person.

    And that may not even be legal, although the law is a jumble. I think federal law requires someone like that to be supervising two people.
