    Right now they are praying to the football gods he is more Hasselbeck/Shaub than Mirer.

    Speaking of the rookie payments, I was shocked to see Newton's contract of 4 years, $22 million. He's gotta be hating the fact that last year he would've gotten triple that for 5 or 6 years.

    It's OK. The Arizona Cardinals will be waiting with a five-year, $63 million contract for him after an unexciting four years.

    Still made about $200K tax-free last year, not bad for a 21-year-old.

    Kolb is Rob Johnson. Parlayed a few decent games into a large contract.

    I was shocked too, but for a different reason.

    Amazing that a non-NFL QB will make that much money playing football.
