    How is leadership at the top? Didn't this paper hire one of the younger executive editors in the country?

    It depends on whether you consider 30 years old, the age of the current editor when he was hired, to be "younger."

    According to a friend who works in the Rocket City, another department head is about to be hired in that newsroom.

    This one, if true, comes from way, way, way out of left field.

    Probably so, Coach Curci.

    Their new Sports Editor is 23, and comes to Huntsville from a Texas paper where he was No. 1 on a two-man Sports staff.

    At least that's what I was told. Don't have a name, though.
