The ghosts of Halsey Hall, Herb Carneal, Kirby and Bob Allison are smiling tonight. Love me some Twins to absolute death.

Two of the greatest extra-inning games in MLB postseason history were played at the Metrodome, and the Twins won both of them on base hits by otherwise nondescript players.

It was wrong when Bob Cook said it, too. ;)

Also: This was a regular-season game.

Also II: The Puckett Game was better than this one, too.

I couldn't put this one on any "great" list if it meant having to listen to Caray's calls again.

They didn't isolate the coach on the replay, but the odds are about 90% that was the doing of Gene "Stay Put" Lamont, one of the worst 3B coaches in all of baseball. The Tigers must have had 500 runners die on third over the course of the season.

He was terrible all season. Three saves and three blown saves. Rodney had 37 saves and one or two blown saves.
