Didn't see this posted, but Yahoo Sports is looking for an MLB editor. Wonder what type of credentials they get for this one?

    What happened to Steve Henson?

Good question. Steve was writing Dodgers copy on Yahoo last week.

I sat next to him at a game less than three weeks ago, and we talked extensively about his gig. I hope everything's OK for him...

  5. So what is this exactly? Is it just copy editing and then writing headlines, attaching highlights, etc.?

If someone knows any details, please post. Thanks.

Read the job description. It's a bigger step up from what you mentioned.

IMHO, this job has Mike Hiserman of the L.A. Times' name all over it.

And, this is pure speculation on my part, but maybe Steve Henson has been lined up for a higher-up role in ESPN's forthcoming localized L.A.-area maneuvers. He'd be good for that.

Henson's not going anywhere. His title is now Senior Editor of pro sports. He'll work with the staff writers of the major pro sports on everything from daily news stories to long-term projects.
