I am better now, but Friday I was very annoyed. Then I called Comcast because our most recent bill looked like it had been added up by monkeys. I'm not sure what happened, it was sort of like an out-of-body experience, but then I heard those words slipping past my lips. And I had never said them before in my life.

major metro folks near me,

flipping through your sunday edition yesterday and found some great stories. problem is, I can't get away from a pair of errors. they're just bugging the hell out of me. maybe I'm just anal. I dunno. but, please, it is dr pepper. "dr" is correct. "dr." is not correct. you used it once is all, I know, but it's a brand name. get it right.

and while I know that "wal-mart" used to be correct, it no longer is. they are now "walmart." one word. and you used the incorrect version multiple times. again, please, how hard are these things to get right, if I just happen on them?

I never turn down cookies, and I wouldn't now, even though I haven't really tasted food for a couple of weeks. Damn cold won't go away. Might actually surrender and go to the damn doctor this week.

But cookies? Yum. Just the thought makes me happy.
