It's a shtick. I can't help it.

 

Hossa into the boards head first. taken off the ice on a backboard/stretcher, delayed game about 15 minutes.

Never lost consciousness and waved his hand on his way off. But trainers never really let him move.


Hit by Perron. Not dirty really, finishing a check as Hossa finished a shot. Perron did get a roughing penalty, though.

 

Time to take body checking out of the game. Only a matter of time before someone dies as a result of a check. :

 

If that's roughing, this game has gone to shit.

 

Edit: It was Polak with the hit, not Perron.


And the thought was they called a penalty because the hit was high. The refs might have made an over reaction to a player going headfirst into the boards too.

 

You can't hit someone too low. You can't hit someone too high. Fuck, what's next? A penalty for looking at someone the wrong way? Red Horner would puke to see what's become of this game.

 

Hell, you skate along side someone you take a risk of a penalty these days.

 

Was at a game over the weekend where two players were yelling at each other, separated by a linesman. Both players received roughing calls.

 

That's all the big guys need to do. Someone trips and falls into them and they get an elbowing penalty.
