The best thing about Denton is that furr-and-teeth baring, certified card-holding man-beast Jeff Andrews. Calling UNT "Southlake North" is the greatest thing to ever happen north of Carrollton. What a beast ...

  2. Northlake Carroll might have been even better.

Ditto. Not a bad entry-level or second job gig for someone willing to work hard. Probably get a lot of chances for good clips.

    Thanks for the update.

And for the record, I did party with the living Von Erich once.

Kevin Von Erich was my hero when I was a kid. Kinda sad, actually.

If you're lucky, you won't have to cover UNT football. Jus' sayin.

Just wanted to say this again after seeing today's final score.

The high school you'd get to cover is going to go 0-10. They lost last night 76-14 and it was the second time they've allowed 70 this season.

Unless something has changed dramatically, the pay will be a major stumbling block. I explored an opening here six or eight years ago and the $ quickly put an end to pursuing it.

In my experience it costs a lot less tomlive in Texas than it does most of california, and the salaries reflect that often

Della, don't tell them that! I'll be covering them in perpetuity!

Yes, the football team is not very good this year. They're incredibly young and have no depth. If there's a silver lining, they will have a kick-ass practice facility in a year or two. So at least you can interview players and coaches in a college-like setting.

$12.50 in Texas is a pretty damn good salary for this field, as sad as that may be.
