I think the one storm track in light blue that ends on the Ontario-Quebec border is interesting...

That looks like NOGAPS, which has been flaky for the entire storm history.

We went grocery shopping on Saturday, and are nicely stocked up on everything we think we'll need.

However, as of now, I'm hopeful we'll get nothing but some high winds and a lot of rain.

Guy in Fort Lauderdale goes kite-surfing in one of the squalls feeding into Fay. Inevitable bad thing happens. He's in critical condition at the hospital so I can't bring myself to make fun of him.

With video (let the first video report run through and autoload second video load for raw footage).

Sad thing is.... if that moron dies, it gets lumped in as a death caused by Fay.

It has a center of circulation; else it's not a tropical cyclone of any kind.

It's more like a newborn puppy whose eyes are closed for a week after birth.

Today's forecast for Central Florida: up to 9 inches of rain, winds steady at 20-30 mph and gusting up to 60 mph.

So, what do the fine folks at Disney decide to do? Naturally: Open early.

It'll be in my back yard the next day. We'll drink together.
