    The Times-Tribune (53,000 daily, 72,000 Sunday), a family-owned newspaper in Scranton, PA, has an opening for an assistant sports editor who can help manage the department as well as design pages, edit copy and plan coverage. This is a challenging role for an energetic, decisive editor who knows sports, can meet deadlines, has a creative approach to the Web, and is able to take a project from inception to production.     Was my first thought, but selfish to take it for myself, I felt.

    (Did wander to their Web site and seems to be a bit going on there sports-wise.)

    On a serious note, doesn't this paper have a sister paper? I wonder what the rules are for working with them, using their material, staff, etc. are?

    Not anymore. The Times and Tribune are now one.

    I don't care if that's the receptionist, the editor, whoever. She's definitely someone I'd wanna work with. And if she had any sisters, I'd probably be willing to work with them, too.
