Line up the ducks and it appears that McNamee's story is consistent.

Pettitte and his wife corroborate McNamee.
The doctors now opine that the abcesses are consistent with steroids injections.
Clemens admits that McNamee injected his wife with HGH.

McNamee lying before to the press? BFD. Not admirable but look at his motivation; to protect Clemens, Pettitte, Knoblouch, et al. Not to make money. He was downplaying it to protect.

What possible motivation does McNamee have for lying about Clemens?

As for the late production of the other evidence? So what. It is what it is. If the lab confirms it, it is physical evidence of doing something to Clemens. If not, so be it. Lateness of disclosure does not change the character of the evidence.

Because Roger is supposedly a Republican, has ties to our current President and no doubt has contributed to Republican members of Congress, possibly even some of the ones on that committee. Like all politicians, especially those in a legislative body, they know not to bite the hand that feeds them.
