New FWAA president is mad as heck

    Newspapers have no ammo.
    Big State U does not need us to sell tickets, to reach recruits, or to make sure fans get the news they want fans to have.
    The ONLY thing we do that self serving fanzines and web sites don't do is tell truths Big State U does not want told.
    We have zero leverage.
    Any coach or AD that can't see that is a complete fool.

    That was kind of what I was thinking, too. Not sure there's any big-time football program out there that WOULDN'T prefer the newspaper just go away.
     
  3. The fan mags and chat sites that are becoming more and more recognized (loosely) as media are hurting the beat writers' cause in this fight. And that's only going to be more of an issue, not less.
