Compared to what he spent on running an illegal dogfighting operation and betting on dog fights, it was pretty small.

AQB, I recognize it may not have been you saying it. However, when a public figure gets in trouble, part of he outcry is always, "the thing for him to do is admit it, tell the truth, come clean." It's kind of a double standard to expect that of him and then say fuck that when he does it. Apologizing, lame and disingenuous as it may be viewed, is the only thing he can do at this point.

Without looking it up, Vick's salary for this year comes off the books according to what Rich McKay said in the presser. But I'm almost certain the balance of his signing bonus(es) will account for cap hits for the Falcons in the next couple of years.

Obviously, recouping the money is not only a financial savings for Blank, but also a cap savings for the Falcons.

This in the same offseason when Vick missed a zillion flights to D.C., hoping to persuade lawmakers to increase funding for after-school programs. Guess the kids weren't worth the trip. Swell guy.

Hey, it's tough to make it to the airport when you've got dogs to drown and then bury in your backyard.

Pretty interesting the widespread moral indignation about dog killing, yet to many abortion is just dandy.

    I did.

"AirTran, which has an endorsement deal with Vick, gave a different account of Vick's travel arrangements. While acknowledging that the flight from Florida was late getting into Atlanta, causing him to miss his 8:35 p.m. connection, airline spokesman Tad Hutcheson said the player was booked on a 10:50 p.m. flight, but Vick failed to show."

Once again, you sure your true colors. You can't make an argument, so you're sorry excuse for a brain comes up with "let's make fun of chuck".

  11. ESPN just had an "apology expert" on analyzing Vick's remarks.

Just because you HAVE the 24/7 news cycle to analyze something doesn't mean you should devote it all to that.

"Vick's publicist, Susan Bass, said it wasn't his fault. The quarterback was in Tampa on Monday to play in teammate Warrick Dunn's charity golf tournament, then caught a flight to Atlanta that was supposed to arrive in time for him to make another flight to Reagan National Airport.

But the AirTran flight was late leaving Tampa, and Vick missed his connection and wound up stuck in Atlanta, Bass said.

"He was really mad," she said. "He was on the plane and everything, but the plane didn't come in until late."
