    I'm not sure anyone in our industry would ever want to compare hires with Van. (Maybe Dwyre or Solomon, but the list is very, very short). Van made the paper a destination.

    Van made the section, but Lynn made most of the hires...

    It was the best 1-2 punch in sports journalism in my opinion...

    Plus, it's been a very busy couple of weeks for all SE's with APSE two weeks ago and then the Fourth of July around the corner and now the All-Star break.
