Pallister's post reminds me: "Shelter Me" by Cinderella. If you're living in a glass house don't you be throwing rocks at me we all neeeeeeeeeeeed A LITTLE SHELTAAAAAAAHHHHHH...

Also: "Twilight Zone," Golden Earring. Where am I to go now that I've gone too far?

Anything off Soul Asylum's "Grave Dancers Union."

"Somebody To Shove" is one of the most raging songs of all-time.

Is that the same "Runaway Train" by Soul Asylum? Which one is the guy that sounds just like Tom Petty?

No. But thanks for getting that song stuck in my head. :)

Speaking of Donny Iris, I'll add his 1980s tune "My Girl"

Have you seen any of those missing children, Pallister?

That was one creepy video...especially the lecherous (sp?) old man picking up the teenaged girl on the street corner and the ending, with the baby being stolen and the mother running after the car.

Good to see some love for my man Ian Hunter (knew my boy Fly would step to the plate here).

Awesome solo stuff like "Just Another Night", "Wild East", "Cleveland Rocks", "Central Park And West", "Ships" and "Standing In My Light". I've always preferred his live versions of Mott classics like "All the Way From Memphis", "Once Bitten Twice Shy", "Walkin' With A Mountain" and "Golden Age Of Rock And Roll".

    Other random notes:

The mention of "Tweeter And The Monkey Man" prompts me to note that the Headstones, a Canadian band, do a ripping cover of that that has been on my iPod forever.

"Over You" is the most underrated Roxy Music song. Their cover of "Like A Hurricane" is great too.

    Great lost 80s obscurities:

    "Radio Silence" - Blue Peter
    "2-4-6-8 Motorway" - Tom Robinson
    "Get Over You" - Undertones
    "Starry Eyes" - Records
    "Love And Lonelieness" - Motors
"Girl Of My Dreams" - Bram Tchaikovsky
"Whole Wide World" - Wreckless Eric
"Top Of The Pops" - Rezillos
"Life Begins At The Hop" - XTC

"For You" by Drivin and Cryin
"Silver, Blue and Gold," Bad Co. -- echoing many other posters on this thread
"Invisible Sun" by The Police -- I wish they'd sing this on the Grammys Sunday.
These three Police songs -- from Ghost in the Machine album -- need to be played in order:
    "Omegaman", "Secret Journey" and "Darkness"
    "Losing It" by Rush
    "Night Patrol" by Robert Cray
"Old Love" Eric Clapton (w/Cray on guitar)
    "Coming Home" Cinderella
    "Achilles Last Stand" Led Zeppelin
"Heart and Soul" T'Pau (yeah, a one-hit wonder, but still great)
