Perhaps after another mediocre season in South Bend, Jerry can lure Fatty McTits away from his "dream job".

And here I thought this was just a dream.

    Mwah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah.

Time to unpack the Zubaz and the sideline pajamawear, I guess.

I don't think Norv wanted the job that badly. Supposedly, he told Jones he wouldn't take the job if Garrett was the coordinator.

Phillips isn't a terrible pick, but if he lasts three years I think people will be stunned...

    Wade Phillips to the Cowboys?

It'll be interesting to see Marty and the Chargers this year.

How the hell is Wade Phillips going to handle T.O.?

Probably not far off... He already served as the piss boy for Elway and Vick.

This may be the most idiotic coaching search ever. The whole Garrett this is impossible to explain...

I think T.O. may have been the biggest reason Norv wouldn't take the job. Didn't want the headache.

Of course, Phillips has dealt with all manner of headcases. Like that famous one, John Elway. ::)

Ralph Wilson must have called Jerry Jones and told him, "If you are looking for a coach who will do whatever you want, no questions asked -- Phillips is your guy."

The Bills owner -- underrated as a meddler -- ran roughshod over Phillips during the latter's Buffalo tenure. Wilson had a lot to do with the decision to replace Doug Flutie with Rob Johnson, but Phillips took the bullets publicly. (I think Buffalo radio stations are still holding call-in debates over which quarterback is better.)

This kind of puppeteering is exactly what Jones wants.
