I didn't pick Colts up till 97 when I abandoned the Bengals due to long-term suckitude. My knowledge is limited.

And I'd never bet against Art Schlichter. Bad things could happen.

1) Dan Marino (not on the list ... who's Marnio?) - People can bust on his lack of a title ... blah, blah, blah. No one ever makes mention that only John Elway had more fourth-quarter comebacks (Elway had 47, Marino 37). Marino didn't have a Terrell Davis come to Miami to get him two SB rings. Instead, he had Jimmy Johnson, he of the "I-run-one-system-and-I-will-run-over-anyone-who-can't-run-my-infallible-system" theory. Final word: He splintered Chicago's "46" defense in '85. The same defense that embarrassed most of its competition was shredded by Marino, the Marks and Nat Moore ... and it's still one of the damndest things I've ever seen in sports.
2) Johnny Unitas - Kinda like Jim Brown on my RB list ... didn't get to see him play, but read so much about him and his intangibles ... enough good to give him this spot
3) Brett Favre - Kind of Marino, Jr. to me, with much better mobility.
4) Peyton Manning - Plenty of years for him to climb the ladder.
5) John Elway - Funny how Terrell Davis, a running game and a pair of Super Bowls vaulted him from Marino-land - at least for those who can't stand Marino - into the pantheon of all-time greats. Elway belongs among the greatest, but his last two years shouldn't have suddenly vaulted his career portfolio.

Why would he need 2 or 3 to surpass Elway? He's already better than him in the regular season, won his title when he was the best player on his team, and Elway can match him big game failure for big game failure.
