LeBatard's column on Jason Taylor and playing with pain

It's not that he hasn't learned from it. He's deemed it worth it. The fame, acclaim and the compensation were worth it in Taylor's mind. That may not the case for every NFL retiree, but it is here. But I also think LeBatard should check back in 10 years and see if Taylor has the same mindset.

    OC Register spends, grows

When companies are bought or split, or bought and split the new company must take into account historical financial assumptions (like pensions). I'm sure I'm not telling you anything you don't know. Usually a negotiated amount by the seller and purchaser is put into a growth escrow that assumes...

    OC Register spends, grows

No doubt. Totally agree. I get the stock-option plan statements stating I'm fully vested and my shares are worth $0. As a sidebar: Zell had a 40-year history of turning around depressed assets. Kushner ... we'll he's not even 40.

    OC Register spends, grows

General wondering about a business plan/philosophy: That's great. But that's not a long-term anything. OK. But we know many deliveries to homes is at cost or at a loss. In L.A./O.C., one delivery person could be delivering the L.B. Press Telegram, the O.C. Register and the L.A. Times to the...

    30 for 30 complaint

Of course I understand the criticism. It struck me watching, too. With that said, I thought Chuck was pretty-damn good. (As was Heisler.)

OMG! OMG! Chicago Tribune Notre Dame beat jockey faced Heisman conundrum!!!!!!!

To that point, Manti Te'o will rate higher than Johnny Manziel ever will among pro scouts. It's a college award on college accomplishments and not about pro projections.

OMG! OMG! Chicago Tribune Notre Dame beat jockey faced Heisman conundrum!!!!!!!

Again, I disagree. Kellams was asked for an explanation and he gave one.

OMG! OMG! Chicago Tribune Notre Dame beat jockey faced Heisman conundrum!!!!!!!

I disagree. They decided to vary from the norm and published an explanatory piece. I'm OK with all of it.

Cowboys Stadium ain't in Dallas ...

Here's the worst offender (IMHO): How come the DIA ain't anywhere near Denver? And if one flake of snow hits that interstate, you're hosed. HOSED.

Cowboys Stadium ain't in Dallas ...

That's a good one. Another? Showing the Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica Pier when opening NBA telecasts. There are days it would take you three hours to get from Santa Monica to DTLA.

Do you really want to know about this paper?

I agree with Mizzou ... And ... Why, if I'm in management, would I want a departed employee showing the new employee around? And if I'm the departing employee, why would I give two shirts?

    Follow the money ...

I am so sorry. I edited/appended original post to include full link. But to answer your question, he's just dealing in the advertising pie as a whole, and not the various slices.
