    The Marshall Independent, an award-winning six-day-a-week Ogden newspaper in southwest Minnesota, is seeking an energetic full-time sports reporter with strong people skills and an ability to work independently, as well as with a small team. Photography and Quark skills are a must for this position. The Independent covers more than 10 area high schools as well as Division II Southwest Minnesota State University. The right candidate will cover local high school and college athletics and write features, blogs and columns, as well as sit desk and lay out pages at least once a week. Come work in a friendly environment that can be both laid back and serious and is filled with seasoned reporters with a wealth of knowledge about the area.

    This is an hourly position. Health insurance is provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota.
