Report: Craig Sager fighting leukemia

    I believe they said on the pregame show (with everyone wearing the closest thing they could find to a Sager suit) that was supposed to be a taped interview to run before the game. And Popovich was the one who said it should be the post-third quarter interview. Which is fantastic.

    "Pop saying he wanted me back and then promising to be nice? I was like, Oh, my God, that's unbelievable, what an honor," said Sager, whose exchanges with the curt Popovich have become a much-anticipated part of TNT's NBA telecasts. "But then I started thinking about it: If I come back and Pop starts being nice to me, it just wouldn't be right. I want him to go Serbian [Popovich was born to a Serbian father] on me."

    Much like they have "Play for Kay" and Jimmy V. nights in the college game, let's have all the sideline reporters dig deep into their pile of Lindsey Nelson rejects one weekend (or did I just really date myself?)
