The Green River Star, a weekly newspaper in beautiful southwest Wyoming, is seeking a reporter to cover local high school and junior college sports. The ideal candidate would have some photography experience and have knowledge using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.

Aside from sports coverage, duties include designing pages for both The Green River Star and its weekly shopper, The Sweetwater County Guide; some spot news coverage as well as coverage of local events outside of sports.

Green River is a prime location for people interested in outdoor recreation. The city is close to multiple summer and winter recreational opportunities. The city also boasts a number of beautiful parks, bike trails and a well-maintained recreation center.

Applicants should email David Martin, Editor, at Editor@Greenriverstar.com. Resumes can also be sent to The Green River Star, 445 Uinta Drive, Green River, Wyoming, 82935.

Damn well better be. There is no indoor recreation, aside from using the DVR and remote.

Speaking of remote, this place invented the term. I once stopped for gas there en route from Cheyenne to Salt Lake City. Let's just say there aren't a great deal of entertainment --- or even shopping --- options in the area. And, yes, it has been known to snow a little bit.

But, this is not to be confused with Green River, Utah... which, truth be told, isn't any better.
