I was impressed with Gillette and Corolla in the opener but you guys are right, like Gene Simmons before them they will be tossed off for being brighter and wittier than the host.

No idea who might come out from the guy's side. Musicians have traditionally done well on the show because they are creative and used to being in charge but I don't know if Dee Snider is another Bret Michaels or Trace Adkins. There are no Piers Morgans in this group.

On the distaff side I will admit that aside from Cheryl Tiegs, Lisa Lampanelli, Victoria Gotti and Debbie Gibson I had either never heard of the rest of them (even though Aubrey O'Day was on the cover of Playboy, probably without that ridiculous dye job) or forgotten about them (Tia Carrere won a Grammy?).

I read this on one of the reality sites, so take it with a grain of salt, but it said that in most seasons they go for 4-6 celebrities who have loyal followings and then just fill in the cast with whoever they can get...

Apparently the ones who they considered "good gets" this season were Carolla, Gillette, Aiken, Lampanelli and Arsenio Hall.

I was going to say something cynical about Cheryl Tiegs, until I realized she was 64. Definitely wasn't suited for this show, and clearly needed a better bra, but seems like a really lovely lady.

How many Victoria Gotti mafia jokes will we have to endure before she stabs someone? Same for the gay jokes directed at Aiken and Takei...just seems awkward and uncomfortable after the 347th time.

Also, is there any doubt Paul Teutul gave that one big donation himself so he wouldnt lose?

I'd forgotten that when Trump Jr. was asking Gotti how many people she called that the Trumps and Gottis apparently run in the same circles, know some of the same people. Who knew that Trump was all mobbed up?

I have no doubt Trump - and his old man - have had plenty of dealing with mobbed-up union types over the years. Can't imagine Don. Jr. going near any of that real work.

I'm sure much of it is due to his disability, but Ferrigno is hyper-sensitive about every piece of criticism.

And I'm glad Carolla called out Patricia Velazquez for dropping "I was the first Latina supermodel" on every episode.

She and Ferrigno have the same problem. They have no sense of humor, particularly about themselves, and that doesn't work on a reality show populated with C-list celebrities.

I loved how Arsenio tried to kiss ass by saying all of Ivanka's clothes are wonderful, so it didn't matter what he chose.

Lou Ferrigno needs to put on his big boy pants and stop crying when there's the slightest criticism against him. "I wake up in the morning and I give 110% ..." I feel like he has that playing on a loop and we're only in the third week.

On the one hand, this was total hubris by Carolla. His entire persona is built on complaining that everyone around him is an idiot, and it got him in trouble here because he didn't trust anyone else's advice.

On the other hand, he probably knew he wasn't going to win the whole thing. So I think he decided to just do the presentation he wanted to do and let the chips fall where they may. He's also a California guy and a homebody and was probably sick of New York.

It's a shame, because he's smart and capable enough to win this. And of course he's entertaining as hell.
