And also that he'd like to thank Nike for standing behind him.

It's an opinion. Take it for what it's worth. The way this all played out just smells fishy. Tiger and Elin certainly acted like they had something to hide.

So you won't watch the Accenture because of the Tiger presser?
I won't watch 'cause I prolly won't care (because Tiger's not playing), but I still don't see how he's fucking Accenture with the presser.
    You lost me.

Does anyone care about Match Play anyway? Even when Tiger's in it, it's not that great of a tournament, as the big guys are as likely to get knocked out right away as the no-names. I think poor little Accenture will be all right.

I think Tiger is missing a great opportunity here to show some humility.
The fact that this thing will be as controlled as it reported to be shows me he's still the same Tiger, surrounded by the same folks.

Until he faces the public/press in a way that is inclusive about what happened, this story will continue to rage on. Be a man, take some questions, and move forward. Get it behind you so it doesn't linger.

That being said, I'll watch to see what happens, but I doubt I will hear anything I didn't already know about him coming back and moving forward.

Or, he could just come out and go all Vince McMahon and cop to being a world-class d-bag and live it up with his new "bad-boy" image.

    It bumps it coverage-wise.

Accenture goes from, let's say, above the fold to being a sidebar to Tiger.

Also, will NBC tape delay this press conference into primetime?

What else would you attribute the timing too?
And it's fucking golf .. ... in Scotsdale! How God Damned rowdy can a crowd get?
    Bethpage Black it ain't.

My money says he plans on playing (somewhere) next week, hence the timing.

The Accenture finishes on Sunday, two days after the presser.
The tourney was a Monday A.M. sidebar long before the Tiger presser.

Why would the PGA allow their offices to be used for this thing? And what would be the point of the media going if there are no questions, so they can write what he was wearing and how his voice broke at times, the reaction of the cast (i mean family and friends)?

Too bad there won't be an SNL this week, I could see them using footage of Woods apologizing and cutting away to show all the bimbos in the audience.

What if he doesn't want anyone to feel sorry for him?

That's about all I'd say in a similar circumstance. Take about 30 seconds.

Here's the notice to the press:

EDIT: Forget it, formatting makes it all messed up. Here's a link:

I don't think humility has ever been one of the clubs in Tiger's bag.

And yeah, it does sound like a big middle finger directed at Accenture.

So he's going to apologize for being a douchebag, in a forum set up so he can continue to be a douchebag.
