So Tom Stinson is no longer on staff? I always enjoyed reading his stuff.

Sekou is going to NBA.com - they recently had a job listed for NBA blogger/writer for the daily front page stuff on the site. Not sure if that's his gig. I just know that's where he is going.

They've lost more people than they have. Some really good, some just OK. But a whole lot of folks just in the past couple years alone. Which sports dept. has lost more talent than this in no more than 3 years?

WRITERS (off the top of my head)
    Michelle Hiskey
    Mike Knobler
    Carter Strickland
    Craig Cusstance
    Matt Winklejohn
    Bill Sanders
    Jack Wilkinson
    Stan Awtrey
    Steve Wyche
    Tony Barnhart
    Terence Moore
    Rick Minter
    Todd Holcombe
    Scott Bernarde
    Sekou Smith
    Darrell Maxie
    Mike Tierney
    Wendy Parker
    EDITORS
Ramos (let his assistants do all the work)
    Jeff D'Allesio
    Virginia Lewis
WRITERS WORKING ELSEWHERE AT THE PAPER
    Rana Cash
    Tom Stinson

And I'm probably not thinking of a handful more.

Ken Sugiura? Curtis Bunn? Or were they already gone?

Sugiura's still there. Still writes sports.

Curtis Bunn, my sources say, was a disaster. Not much of a loss.

Moddy is correct about Sekou Smith going to NBA.com.

You need to check your sources. Bunn is doing quite well and was just as talented as many of those listed earlier.

Stinson is now what they call a ``word editor'' in the land of new-age titles.

I believe that's like a line editor but I'm not really sure.

Might be a silly question, but any word on what the AJC plans to do for GA State football coverage for next fall?

From what I overheard at the GSWA meetings in the summer, Ken Suguira will handle the Panthers.

I would think Chris Perkins would be a good fit for this if he wanted, with his previous ties to Cox.
