    First real puzzle tonight:
Couple has $10,500 cash and a $7000 trip to NY from Hawaii.

Song lyrics: "Going to the chapel and we're GONNA get married."

Guy says: "Going to the chapel and we're going to get married."

    Nope. Sorry.

"UH! PAT! I'd like to buy a vowel!"

I swear ... some of the people on that show make bovines look like nuclear chemical engineers in comparison.

Yet ... I cannot solve word puzzles to save my ass most of the time.

My wife was on Wheel of Fortune in an episode that aired in April of last year. She made a dumb mistake -- not for that kind of money -- but something she would have been cringing if someone had done at home. Thankfully hers "only" cost her a grand. Puzzle was "Treasure hunters" ... and she said "Treasure hunter" It was in the opening puzzle of the night. She regrouped and did great. Under the lights, those things just happen, she said. We laugh about it now.

    Classic, classic stuff.

If I made it on there, I'd keep asking Pat if I could just swap my cash for Vanna getting naked. But that's me.

We talking Vanna now or 10-15 years ago?

    Not that there's a huge difference ...

We were watching at work earlier this week and the answer was something like "GRILLED AL_ECORE TUNA SANDWICH" and the woman asked for an "F"

    Christ.
