I think that's two different reactions. People got tired of Tebow, and it was more a case of, do something already to merit your notoriety.

They are outraged with Peterson and Rice.

Oh, plenty of folks were outraged at Tebow's audacity.

Perhaps. But do you think they looked upon him as a bad person? (Oversimplified description, I know. But you get it.)

I think some of Tebow's detractors exhibited a certain level of hatred, yes.

Bet Goodell would love to have a league full of Tebows tonight.

Commissioners exempt list is the NFL version of GITMO. No clear path
    to get off it.

That was a distraction and there's no room for it in the game.

Adrian gets his $680,000 per game so he's not too broken up.

If you're spanking a kid in this day and age you really got to
    check yourself.

So we're at a point now that AP is issuing a NewsAlert when the likes of Jonathan Dwyer are arrested? And the ESPN coverage of this has been over the top even by their standards. I realize this is a huge controversy in the biggest league in the US, but there are other things going on. Maybe mix in some baseball playoff races before 40 minutes into SportsCenter? I don't really need 5 different takes on the same story back to back, over and over ...

Baseball is the salad of the sports world. Occasionally enjoyable but mostly dull.
