He should go there. But, I would bet he will sit out this season in hopes that someone signs him, so he can make history, etc.

I thought it was telling that the Rams left Sam off the practice squad. Fisher was correct in saying that there were other needs to address, but c'mon, with 10 spots, if they wanted him, they could have found a place for him.

Will sign with Cowboys if he passes physical, per Schefter:

    Practice squad or active roster?

    I'm guessing Practice Squad.

Jerruh was probably worried that the media was going to start ignoring him.

It is practice squad. Schefter clarified that in a subsequent tweet.

Jerry wants a piece of that. Revenue from Michael Sam jersey sales, that is.

Given how much the guy cares about his legacy, I could see Jones wanting to be involved here. I'll bet Sam is on the active roster by Week 3 and I wouldn't be surprised if it's sooner.

I think he'll end up being a very good player in a few years.

Why? What makes you think so?

He'll find a system that fits his skills. And the cliché chip-on-your-shoulder thing.

People act like 2.5 sacks is chopped liver because IT WAS ONLY AGAINST SECOND-STRINGERS! I don't care if it was against the third-string losers. Those sacks are indicative of what he can bring to a defense. Manziel is as fast and shifty a player as there is, and Sam sacked him. It says something. It says more than something.

And no, I'm not saying he should've made it because he sacked Johnny Manziel.

I'm saying he proved he can get to an NFL quarterback in real time.

I'm saying that given a chance now he'll bust his chops and learn the NFL game.

I'm glad he's getting a chance. I question Jerruh's motivations, but who cares?
