It is a keeper league, but I hope I've found a potential trade partner in the Brady owner, who isn't carrying another QB. Offered him Rivers and Rashad Jennings for Matt Forte and Jordan Matthews.

And to illustrate how weirdly QBs are treated in that league, Newton and Kaepernick were drafted as backups.

What's wrong with that? I wouldn't want to count on either of those guys on a weekly basis.

Just that people were taking backups before some other people took starters.

I've got one team where I have Kaepernick as my only QB, and I'm 3-1 and perfectly happy. He was a good QB if you waited and loaded up at other positions. I'm less confident in Newton.

Yeah, I have Foles and Kaepernick, because I waited. Would love Kaep and Newton as backups, but not to rely on.

Wouldn't touch Newton with a 10-foot pole this year. Nothing against the guy. Think he's a very good QB, but there's soooooo little talent around him that there's not much he can do. Now, if they get him some OL help and another weapon or two between now and next season, he'll be a great buy-low option in next year's draft.

The biggest problem with having two quarterbacks who are of similar abilities is knowing when to play one and when to play the other. That's what's good about having a top 5 guy (Peyton, Brees, Rodgers, Stafford, Luck) is that there really isn't a situation other than injury or bye where you're going to bench them.

One guy in our league drafted Cam and Brady. He cut Brady on Tuesday and nobody has picked him up.

It will be interesting to see if this is Brady's last season, or his last season in New England.

He has every right to be pissed.

I'd try and find a way to pick Brady up. He may be done, but even good QBs have had shitty 4-game stretches before. You can talk yourself in to a scenario along the lines of: Gronk gets healthier, OLine learns how to play together and through the second half of the season they look like the Patriots of old. Might not happen. But definitely can see how it could.

I'm toying with the idea of picking him up. I only have one QB on my roster and his bye isn't until Week 9.

My problem is I have two players stashed (McKinnon and Marvin Jones) that I think could be really good in a 2-3 weeks and I don't really have a player who I want to cut.

Brady was pretty bad last year from a fantasy standpoint until mid-season, but his team was still good.

He's been horrendous this year. They were listing players who had scored more points than him and it included guys who had already had their bye weeks.

Shit, I'm carrying four QBs (one QB league) right now just because I don't necessarily want to drop Cousins or Brady. I have Bridgewater, but it sounds like he's not going to play tonight, so I snagged Joe Flacco in hopes he's at least serviceable at Indy on Sunday. Bridgewater wasn't a great play anyway, but neither is Cousins (vs. SEA) or Brady (vs. CIN).
