The right candidate will be someone who has excellent writing abilities and solid multimedia skills.
The Journal covers Southeast Idaho and this position will involve writing about everything from high school sports and Idaho State University athletics to news stories. The ability to engage with readers using social media (Twitter, Facebook) and video is necessary.

The right candidate will also be able to post stories, photos and game scores online and quickly switch between web, social media and print platforms. Pocatello is a city of about 55,000 people in Southeast Idaho within a two to three hour drive of Boise, Salt Lake City and Yellowstone National Park. Pocatello is the home of Division I Idaho State University and the region is an outdoor mecca with some of the nation's best mountain biking, hunting, fishing and winter sports. Candidates should email their resume and work samples to Journal Editor Ian H. Fennell at editor@journalnet.com.
