I read that tweet today at work and thought to myself, "that is some extremely bad luck." Minutes later I saw the Poynter story about the tweet and everything made a lot more sense.

Big whoop, most of them were already dead anyway.

I remember a headline from years ago that was similar: "Streets filled with police shooting protesters."

A boat full of uncivilized Vikings with an appetite for rough sex and heavy drinking? Was that in Britain or on Lake Minnetonka?

"When he wasn't thinking about his caddie's deceased wife, Matt Kuchar was busy making plenty of birdies in the Deutsche Bank Championship."

Wasn't worth its own thread, but today's Doug Ferguson lede seems pretty awkward.

"Legendary coach Bob Knight uninjured after collision with cow"

    http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-basketball/story/2014-09-04/bob-knight-cow-car-crash-indiana-hoosiers-head-coach-espn-analyst

I know it's technically correct, but it sounds wrong. Maybe I should try to run into a cow to see if I can uninjure my bad shoulder.

If the cow wasn't moving, it wasn't a collision, right?
