The Open Championship

Nothing in Evil's last long post was accurate. Nothing. His ranking of golfers was childishly foolish. Bobby Jones was just good, huh? His statement that Phil never beat Tiger in a major is flat out wrong. I guess Phil didn't Indian-wrestle the trophies and green jackets away from Woods in those five tournaments where Woods was, you know, in the field. I have been wrong many times on this board and elsewhere, but flat out ignorance based on bile-filled assumptions is something else.

 

I think my favorite part was when he said Phil was no David Duval.

 

Wasn't meant to be a complete list. It was off the top of my head.

 

Bobby Jones can't be that good. Guy never won The Masters.

 

Yeah .. you guys are totally right ... That one time Phil was the No. 1 ranked player in the world. ... Oh, wait. Yeah


Bile-filled assumptions? Ouch.

 

Cam Newton isn't worth a first-round pick.

 

Same with Walter Hagen. At least Gene Sarazen won it once but those guys were just average.

 

Yeah ... I overshot on Jones ... He was pretty good.

There is so much wrong with this statement, I don't know where to begin.

 

Evil is having himself a day. From posting a months-old video of Reilly on Conan, to this disaster, to saying the hot blonde from Big Bang Theory isn't attractive.

It's 5 o'clock somewhere, I suppose.

 

What's so funny is that in Mickelson's last two Masters victories (2006) and (2010), Tiger finished T3 and T4.

When Mickelson won the PGA in 2005, Tiger finished T3.

In Mickelson's win at the Open Championship, Woods (T2) started the final round three shots ahead of Mickelson (T9) and finished T6.

I guess he never beat Woods though.

It's funny how "the narrative!" has a way of distorting the facts.
