  2. Facebook is the home to a great many activists who just can't take how one side is being treated any longer. The posts and "Likes" are a solid show of support that takes a lot of guts and effort to make.

    Have you read Dave Eggers' novel "The Circle"? Great passage in there along those same lines. I'll dig it up tomorrow.

    Ole BTE never ever turns down an opportunity to bitch about Ukraine.

    And I might point out this example is a bit ass backwards from some of those other historical "unintended consequences" cases. In the past it's been about us not respecting democratically elected govts, but now with Gaza we're being ripped because we did respect the democratic process. Can't win for losing.
