    Knee-jerk reaction.

    Someone will simulcast him.

Note to Imus: Do a Howard Stern and go to satellite radio.

I'm not defending what he said, but I foresee him doing something like this in the future.

The thread title is a bit misleading. Imus wasn't fired; MSNBC just isn't simulcasting the show.

    Prick still has a job.

Not on Cable television. You can find him on the radio and probably not for long. CBS is still exploring its options.

No way will CBS/WFAN dump Imus.

Although, Imus is probably hoping so.......Sirius,XM will play a pile for him.

They could very well dump him. Follow the money. It always comes back to that.

Any reduction in Imus - even if it's just he'll no longer be simulcast - is a good thing.

    Sweet.

Not just because of his latest statement, but his holier than thou, self important, I'm-smarter-than-the-smart-guys attitude is old. He's not funny which means he's failed at his job, that's good enough to fire his ass. Besides, nothing is as sad as on old man with long grey hair, except maybe a clown with tears.

That would be rich. Stern didn't like Imus' way of saying "Double ewe INNNN bee cee," and he ends up blazing a career track for Imus to pattern himself after.

Side note: Every mention of Imus since this crap broke has elicited in my mind the image of Paul Giamatti coaching Stern on how to say the call letters.
