I think this thread proves Gladwell's point.
After all, here are a dozen or so sportswriters complaining "It's not fair!" when a non-sportswriter produces a rational, analytical piece that challenges modern conventions.
As he wrote, "But let’s remember who made that rule: Goliath. And let’s remember why Goliath made that rule: when the world has to play on Goliath’s terms, Goliath wins."
