Awesome. I started taping those in 1987 and had them for about 10 years before the VHS tape was destroyed. This is great. I love technology!!!!

Did you realize the dimensions of the rim and the free throw line are the same as Butler as back in our gym at Hickory?

I guess it resonates with NCAA hoops fans but that is one godawful song.

It resonates with the fourth-grade girls team I coached years ago.

In a regrettable fit of nostalgia, I bought the 1990 Shining Moment from iTunes thinking Ball State's Sweet 16 run would be well represented.
It wasn't ... and now I have the idiotic sub-Christopher Cross song in my iTunes to show for it. Not one of my shining moments.

It really is god-awful. A horribly bad song.

My best friend is a high school basketball coach, and he still gets goosebumps every year when they play this afterward. I love the guy, but what a cheese ball.
How they can continue to foist this garbage on American in 2009 is beyond my wildest comprehension.

OK, I need help with the 1988 video. It's driving me crazy - who is the coach throwing his hands in disgust at the 1:30 mark?

I'd forgotten that 1996 was back when I still kind of liked Kentucky. Epps and Walker and Mark Pope and those guys. Awesome.

I can't get over the first one, where Indiana has gotten the trophy, done the CBS interviews, cut the nets down and reveled on the court as the closing credits roll ... and the Syracuse players are STILL sitting on the bench.
Was there a stick-around-and-sulk rule I wasn't aware of?
