So what was simply a national-level high school football game has turned into a news story with River Ridge's John Curtis Academy playing a game at Texas Stadium against Euless Trinity while a hurricane is hitting back home.

Boy, I frakked up by starting this thread.

The game became a news story becuase it had a New Orleans team playing on the day a hurricane was hitting the hometown.

The TP had a writer who evac came in and do the news angle and the lowly stringer/lame thread starter did the straight gamer.

Gotta give the TP and NOLA.com credit -- both stories up within 2 hours.
