I guess my prediction recently of a quick resolution was wrong. Any more candidates been in?

In-house people applied but didn't make the first cut. They must be getting pretty ticked off at this point.

Damn! That means one of the people who likely applied for the job has been doing the job for the last couple of months.
That's fucked up.

Doing a job they don't think you're qualified enough to actually hire you to do. that seems messed up.

why? the job has to get done. sometimes you have to settle for the job getting done at a lower level than you'd like, though. it's a simple part of business.
i'm not saying that's what's happening with this situation, but just because somebody fills in doesn't make them qualifed to do the job.

Someone told me Friday: This ons is about done.
Me: That's what I was told A MONTH AGO.
Them: This time, it's really about done.
Me: Wake me when it IS done.

Is St. Louis still in the league?

Looks like they're finally about to name Reid Laymance of Boston - don't know what held it up so long because he was the guy I wrote about ages ago with my "white smoke" post.
Of course, things tend to change at this joint - but my money is on this one finally, actually happening.

Any chance a buyout could have been part of it?
Good to see this one about to end.

Yes, there's a chance. Not sure how all that worked out.

I was in Reid's judging group at the Long Beach APSE judging. Very smart guy and was relentless in his editing and reasoning. Congrats to him.

If no one has anything negative to say --- and I certainly don't ----- would that be a first?
