I know this is a bit of a d_b because we had a similar thread a while ago but I'm too lazy to go look so I'm starting another.

I was given the CD St. Elsewhere as a promotion and just listened to it and really liked it, though as I told my daughter I have no clue how to describe/categorize the music.

Is this just another case of my old ass being way behind the times?

I'm with you and I'm young enough to be with it. It's just different.

Yeah, I really enjoyed it. Especially at the price.
    Does that make me crazzzyyyyy?

Overrated is right. It's all over the place, and a difficult album to categorize.

It's like weird trip-hop experimental stuff.

Love Crazy. Can't get enough. The rest? Not so much.

Crazy and Just A Thought are my two favorites.

That's how I was, too, until I went on a road trip and listened to the whole thing a couple of times. All their stuff got catchy to me.

Did I hear correctly that they've already broken up?

Really? Well, that didn't take long.

Interesting fact (via Wikiedia): "Crazy" topped the UK singles chart for NINE weeks.

I thought the group was a side project to begin with.

It is a group and not some individual?

Crazy was blaring from a myspace page for some dude on Big Brother that IJAG was going gaga over a few months ago. I had heard the song, but didn't know anything about Gnarls Barkley. I like upbeat, blaring music when I exercise, so I downloaded the album, figured I'd give it a try. Not sure how to categorize it, either. Kind of like Wham meets Outkast meets Coolio. Don't really listen to their stuff when I am not exercising, but it's decent workout music.
