I know only a few of us care about this, but it's very intriguing if you're into politics.

Basically, day before All-Star game, Mayor's office anounces he has brain cancer.
Goes in for treatment, is still in hospital, much jockeying for position goes on behind the scenes to take over, Mayor does some firings today.
