There won't be any rail strike. The BLET (train crews) already approved the new contract, the other largest union didn't. The unions had their chance to strike before the vote, so that's history. Plus, any strike will be short-lived as Biden and Congress legally have the power to end it.

Well, I posted the 21-22 numbers, after his presidency, so I would say yes.

Since you know this stuff... are there any work actions that employees might do?

It's all academic. While train crews and other crafts will honor pickets after a cooling off period, Biden and Congress have the power to cram down a new deal, with or without paid sick days. The railroads won, just the latest step in dismantling unions that's been going on for decades.

Unions have no friends in D.C.

What’s Biden gonna do, make them go to work at gunpoint? If all the train folks walked out for two days, they’d get everything they want. There’s no bullpen full of engineers and conductors just waiting to take those jobs.

Another note on our gerontocracy: Hakeem Jeffries, who will be House Minority Leader in the next Congress, will also be the first leader of the House Democrats born after PEARL HARBOR!!!

Well, my mom was born after Pearl Harbor, and she just turned 75. A better measuring stick would be folks born after Kennedy was killed.

They can only strike for a few days. The union leadership, I believe, can face jail time defying POTUS and Congress. And actually, trainmasters and other personnel are qualified to run some trains. The train crews took the money, end of story. The railroads are already short crews, but it doesn't much matter as they run fewer, longer trains per their Wall Street overlords.

As long as Citizens United is the law of the land, there will be too much money in politics.

No way in hell Biden will FAFO on that. Unions or not. No f'ing way there can be a rail strike on his or anyone else's watch.

Jeffries meets that measuring stick. Even beat the born after MileHigh was born measuring stick. Though not by much.
