The sad truth is, I'm sure the Phillies paid him some money to get him to show up

Happily I've never been in that situation myself, but I would think the best idea in discussing statutory rape charges is to 1, claim you didn't do it; or 2, you had good reason to believe the subject was of age, or 3, say, "I've been advised not to talk about it."
    And then shut up.

I always had trouble if that pitch didn't stay below the cock.

You know, I'm amazed at the huge majority of people who still don't understand that betting on his team to win was bad because of what it meant when he didn't bet on them to win.

Then again, I had to have that explained to me -- but like, in the first week after he was banned.

Every time he opens his mouth his chances of getting in the HOF dwindle after his lifetime ban ends.

Nice of the Braves to show up this weekend in Flushing. Actually, that’s kind of how they played.

Soon, you won’t be able to call them the LOLMets any longer.

Yeah, he is the classic self-immolation expert. He certainly managed to screw up whatever opportunity this presented.

When Rose was with the Phillies he got an award for something at a banquet
Tracy Austin, fresh off winning the US Open, also received an award
Rose said something to the effect of he didn’t know Austin was so hot until he met her
He was asked if he should be making such a comment about a teenager
    He said: “Listen, I don’t look 40 and she don’t look 16.”

Is it okay for me to think:

    1. Pete Rose should be in the hall given some of the more nefarious shitheads already there.

    and

    2. I’m glad Pete Rose isn’t in the hall because fuck him?
