    This may sound rough, but I find the total apathy among political leaders that anything can be done to be more tragic than than any single gun incident. We've seen the measures congress will go to fight A, B and C, and yet they choose to throw up their hands and just accept these things. Maybe a law wouldn't prevent a single shooting, but at least it would show that Congress recognized the problem and was willing to work for a solution. Life begins at conception - after you are born - you are on your own.
