I thought of those guys and checked. Both were generally close but neither of them did it. Neely actually never had a 200-minute season, which surprised me.

Rick Tocchet’s 92-93 season was just incredible. 48-61-109, with 252 PIMs. And with excellent hair.

Making this all the more tragic.

    Goaltenders nightmare.
He had three 40+goal 200+ PIM seasons in four years.

Bertuzzi was part of the 40 goals and 20 games suspended group.

Kinda. Over those four years he had three with 40 goals and three with 200+ PIMs. They just weren’t the same three years.

I realize I’m nitpicking but again, fuck Pat Verbeek.

    Super underrated player.

Apologies. I thought you were referring to the 89-90 to 92-93 span. I totally missed the range you were looking at.

    Yes, very underrated.

Hertl now diagnosed with covid, out the next six games. Just about the length of the Sharks' home stand. Not that they were going to do much even if they did sneak into the playoffs. Still.

Binnington was not happy after being pulled after giving up four goals in about 30 minutes.

Why he was leaving the ice entirely? Is there no room on the bench for the backup in San Jose?

    Anticipating the game misconduct?
