    We’ll learn at his retirement that Pujols is actually at retirement age for normal people.

    He’s not retiring, he’s being retired. That contract is the only thing that kept him on the field the past five years.

    He has not had an OPS over .790 since his first year with the Angels (2012). He has totally crashed and burned the last four years but, as you said, he makes too much to bench or release.

    They could easily release him. You gotta pay the money either way, if you had a young guy who could produce in that spot it might be a wash for value

    Yup. Jared Walsh doesn't have that much of a track record, but he showed enough that he deserves to be in the lineup.

    Speaking at the resident x-ray guy, a spontaneous pneumothorax, that is a collapsed lung for no particular reason, is not all that uncommon. I remember sending a guy to the hospital with one on Friday afternoon going into the Labor Day weekend. He was supposed to be going down to the beach, but his chest was hurting and he went to the doctor. Shot the film and off he went to the ER.
