Graduated with a kid who brought tapes of Rush shows to school to listen to during breaks. In 1989, 8th grade. Rush had barely been in syndication and this kid had a library. Like a deranged Alex P Keaton. Made my habit of taping Laker games I picked up from Dallas and Denver radio stations seem not so weird.

I first heard the name Rush Limbaugh at my first newspaper gig in Long Beach in '89.

The high school football recruiting guy ran a weekly NFL picks column and Rush was one of the pickers.

His body will lie in a Waffle House near you. Right after this word from MyPillow.

Many people don’t realize that Mr. Limbaugh was quite knowledgeable regarding the NFL.
